Personal Safety Awareness Training
One Day Programme
Target Audience
Any front line staff or any staff who deal with potentially volatile customers/clients. This course is also suitable for anyone in vulnerable situations or with an interest in personal safety.
Course Overview
To provide the opportunity to identify and explore aspects of safety, this course focuses on both verbal and physical aggression and builds confidence – the biggest factor in deterring an assault. At the end of this course delegates will:
- Understand and recognise the stages and causes of a violent or aggressive action
- Have the keys to manage an incident through verbal skill and the correct use of body language
- Know if a physical assault occurs and be able to “get free and flee”
- Understand minimum force
- Have the belief and confidence that you are able to defend yourself and escape
- Understand the reporting procedures to be followed after an incident
- Learn and refresh knowledge on key personal safety tips
